Cuisinart Rice Cooker

| |

Amongst the most trusted and consistent producers of cooking appliances in the world is Cuisinart. They're famous for offering superior quality at prices that are very reasonable for the average joe. This is especially true of Cuisinart rice cookers, which get rave reviews from customers all over the country.

One fabulous example of a popular Cuisinart unit is the CRC-400, 4 cup rice cooker. It's a small-sized appliance that can cook up to four cups of rice, sufficient for a young couple or a small family, though likely not sufficient for major dinner parties or events. The square shape of the rice cooker make it easy to put away or just push over to the corner of your counter. And the retractable cord make it even easier to store. It's stainless steel shell gives it a nice sleek look. You can use it not only to steam rice but also meat and vegetables in its stainless steel steaming basket. One of my favorite things about this cooker is that it automatically changes over to warm mode after the cook cycle has ended. So if for some reason you fail to check on your rice while it's cooking, that's fine because the warmer won't shut down so your rice will remain warm. I'm can be pretty forgetful, so I find this function very useful! One thing you should watch out for though with the CRC-400 is that the cooking instructions that are included with the appliance don't provide the best results. Consumer reports suggest that the recommended quantity of water is too high. It is likely a better idea to pay attention primarily to the instructions on the package of the specific rice you're using.

A bigger version of the same appliance is available too, which holds eight cups of rice. It is known as the Cuisinart CRC-800.

One more popular Cuisinart rice cooker is the FRC-800. It is a fair bit more costly at a standard price of 0, but it includes functions that certainly make it worth the price, if you have the money of course. One of the functions that make this rice cooker great is its "Fuzzy Logic technology", which automatically adapts the temperature and remaining time to the rice currently contained inside the pot, so there are no mistakes and your rice is great every time. This is also a big cooker, which cooks up to fifteen cups of rice at a time, so it's fantastic for serving lots of people at a time. It's a common rice cooker to see used in restaurants and cafes because of its large size and its automatic functions. There are also six pre-programmed rice cooking modes, one for white rice, one for hard white rice, one for sushi rice, one for brown rice, one for risotto rice, and one for soft white rice. It also has pre-programmed modes for oatmeal, soup, reheat, quick cook, and slow cook. The only bad aspects of the Cuisinart FRC-800 are its price range, and its big size which makes it impractical for many people to keep at home. But if it's important to you to cook excellent restaurant-quality rice those aren't important priorities.
