Easy Steps to Make Black Pepper Fried Rice

Fried rice is the most favorite food in Indonesia. There, this tasty food is sold in many restaurants. There are many kinds of fried rice; black pepper fried rice, seafood fried rice, and fried rice with lamb, beef, or chicken chops are the most common fried rice among others. Fried rice is a perfect meal for dinner, but some people usually have it as their breakfast. The warming effect of black pepper makes it suitable to be enjoyed on a cold day.

The ingredients needed to make black pepper fried rice include the following:


Cooked white rice, 500 grams. Cook it using rice cooker for fast cooking.
Bombay onion, ½ pieces.
Fried rice seasoning, 1 sachet (about 60 grams)
Shrimps, 100 grams, remove the shell.
Squids, 100 grams, chop into rings.
Eggs, 2, mixed.
Powdered black pepper, 2 ½ teaspoons.
Salt (in an adequate amounts)
Sugar (in an adequate amounts)
Leek diagonally cut.
Frying oil, 3 tablespoons.

After the above ingredients are ready, then follow these simple steps to make the fried rice:


Fry Bombay onion with frying oil, then add fried rice seasoning. Stir well.
Add shrimps & squids into it; stir until its color changed. Put it in a separate container.
Fry the mixed eggs, stir until it gets solid.
Add white rice into it, then black pepper, salt, and sugar. Stir well.
Add leek, shrimps, and squids. Stir well.
Black pepper fried rice is ready to be served.

Do not use excessive water to cook the white rice, since dryer rice would taste better than the adhering one. For decorating purpose, you can add some slices of tomato and cucumber into the fried rice. Chips made from shrimps are often consumed with it. Fried rice is better served fresh from the frying pan, but you can wrap the remainder into wrapping bag, then wrap it again with aluminum foil and put it in the refrigerator. Fry it before eating.
